This year truly marks a mile stone for BCA as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our founding. Many things can be said about BCA. It is the foundation of Bangladeshi Diaspora in UK, the first national organization by expatriate Bengalese, and a common standard of achievement for all migrants settled in UK. As the BCA approaches its 50th birthday, it is timely to emphasize the curry houses' enduring relevance, its universal acceptability, and that it has offered something for everyone of us. And al these achievements were made under the umbrella of BCA. Today, the BCA is more relevant than ever. |

It is a living organization that operates not only in matters of British Bangladeshi caterers in UK, but also in addressing social problems and achieving financial growth in Bangladesh, the roots of all Bangladeshis living in Britain.
The year long commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of BCA is intended to be as inclusive as possible, highlighting the role of British people as the patron and beneficiaries of the BCA. The commemoration will encompass the BCA family, the public and private sectors, media, schools, artists and other representatives from various walk of life throughout the UK. This booklet is a guide to those celebrations.
