There are three main objectives for the golden jubilee celebrations. They are:
  • To celebrate BCA's landmark achievement as the first Bangladeshi organization outside Bangladesh to complete its 50 years
  • To reflect on the evolution, development, achievements and struggles of the curry industry in the UK over the past fifty (50) years and;
  • To look forward to the future, to the next fifty (50) years toward our centenary as a thriving British Bangladeshi community outside Bangladesh.
The Logo
    The 50th anniversary celebration is symbolized by the BCA@50 logo, which depicts golden jubilee by a glow of golden colour by highlighting the digits 50. The yellow and red symbol represents celebration and joy. The symbol is set on a circle which represents the concept of giving back to the society. The earthy red colour of the write up 50 and the backgrounds in the upper and lower part of the logo, along with a picture of a man working in a tandoori, reinforces our identity as a hard working, creative community and as a vibrant, common sharers of multicultural Britain.
    The BCA@50 logo - is available with BCA office and can be used by partners under special permission from BCA. It will be used during the anniversary period, from 03 July 2010 to 10 October 2010.

The phrase also serves as a declaration of the successes achieved by BCA in the past and a resolve to continue the saga of BCA to the next century.
