2. Best Curry Dishes i.e. Chicken, Lamb, Fish, Prawn


3. Best Vegetarian Dishes


4. Best Desserts    

Entries

Written submissions must:

• be innovative but simple and practical to serve


• consider profitability of the dishes


• consider taste and texture


• balance of flavours across the three course meal

Judging

Initial entries will be selected by a panel of judges to go forward into one of four heats where those responsible for creating them will be asked to make up their dishes in front of a judging panel.

In each category a winner will be selected from each heat to go forward to the final, which takes place on ……(Address and date will be sent out on later stage)…………………………………………., in London.

The overall Best Chef of the Year Award winner will be announced at the Awards Dinner on 4^th December 2011 and will receive a trophy plus considerable publicity.

Competition rules for

'BCA Caterer of the Year Award 2011

1) You must be over 18 years of age and resident in the UK and have been trading for AT LEAST 6 months at the time of completing the entry form to enter our competition.

2) BCA Award Committee members/ BCA staff and any company associated to the competition and their families are not eligible to enter the competition.

3) The holder of the title 'BCA Caterer of the year 2011’ is entitled to use that award for a period of TWO years from the date of the award, after that time it must not be used.

4) The certificate cannot be displayed publicly after the TWO year time period as set out in the rules.

5) The title 'BCA Caterer of the year 2011’ can be used on any publicity material of the winner for the time period as set out in rule

6) The title 'BCA Caterer of the year 2011’ is in no way transferable to any person or business, and cannot be sold on its own or as part of a business

7) Only one entry per person / company is permitted.

8) Proof of making phone calls, sending post/e-mail is not proof of our receipt of your entry. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost, delayed or damaged.

9) The closing date is  20 October  2011.

10) Winners will not be formally notified before the event day.

11) The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

12) The award may not be transferred to any other person.

13) No cash alternative or alternative award is available on entrants request but in the event of the advertised competition award being unavailable we reserve the right to offer an alternative award of equal or greater value.

14) BCA will not be liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in a competition.

15) Competition winners may be required to take part in or co-operate with publicity.

16) Competition winners agree to keep confidential any knowledge about BCA, and its business and personnel received by them as a result of the competition.

17) No responsibility is accepted for inaccurate award details supplied by BCA or its sponsors.

18) Use of false name or address e.g name by which the entrant is not usually known, will disqualify them from receiving any award. BCA reserves the right to oblige any potential winner to provide documentary proof of their identity and address as directed by BCA before such person may claim their award. In certain circumstances, BCA shall, at its discretion, require any person to present themselves in person supported by such documentation for identification purposes.

19) Contestants who are rude, abusive or deemed otherwise unsuitable by BCA will be excluded from the competition.

20) We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time. Entry in the competition implies acceptance of these rules.

21) We will keep your personal details for a reasonable time so that we can send you any award that you have won, to verify that these rules have been complied with, and for accounting purposes. We may pass your details on to our service providers and agents for the purposes of sending you the award on our behalf.

22) BCA may at any time issue specific rules to be read in conjunction with these rules.
