Mr Bajloor Rashid is the current President of Bangladesh Caterers Association, UK (BCA). BCA is the umbrella organization of approximately 12,000 British-Bangladeshi restaurateurs living in the UK.

OBorn in the district of Moulvi Bazar, village Balikandi, in the Tarafder family and brought up in Bangladesh, Mr Rashid came to England in 1978 for further education. But soon he developed his passion for curry and began his career as a restaurateur in Dover, Kent in 1978.
A veteran caterer for the last 30 years, Mr Rashid unanimously got elected as the President of BCA in the last election held on 10 December 2006. Prior to being tapped as the Chief Treasurer in 2003 committee and the Assistant Secretary General in earlier committees, Mr. Bajloor served continuously on the national executive committee of BCA. He has attended several meetings with policy makers to promote greater awareness and business opportunities between Bangladeshi caterers and the United Kingdom Govt.
Mr Rashid is a successful caterer and he owns a number of restaurants across UK. He has built an enviable reputation in and around Ashford, Kent as a top restaurateur. Through his hard work and dedication, he has established a chain of businesses opening several new restaurants in different parts of Kent and London. Simultaneously got involved in property investments owning many commercial buildings. In 1993 also got involved in a wholesale business, selling rice and spices. He is associated with a number of other business ventures both in Bangladesh and in the UK.
Mr Rashid is married with four children and permanently lives at Ashford, Kent, some 55 miles southeast to London.
